Love

Love is far more vicious and vile than any torture

Known in this world or the next

Love is the most regrettable action one can take

The one thing that will make death feel like home

Though you've seen it with others 

And heard of its horrors

You tell yourself

"That won't happen to me"

So you take a sip and it all seems fine

But then you take a drink

Then a gulp

Until you eventually finish the whole cup

And come to realize you've been slowly

Poisoning yourself

And with all the time you've taken

It is much too late to be cured

As your insides voraciously eat the acid you devoured

And collapse on itself rendering you helpless

So there's only two options:

Let this poison finish its course and face the bitter end

Or vomit what you can and go on half empty

But whole regretting

You cannot take any of it back
