A Bride of Death

Lady Death came to her and asked my sweet to be her bride

I figured what the answer would be because I found her crying the previous night

Lady Death offered her a pretty shiny metal ring

Complementing these lovely red gloves, I knew she won this thing

Will you miss me when you leave me?

So far away and untouchable, will you regret it?

It is your choice to make this leave

And yet somehow I still feel guilty

And now I'm yelling at her

She's supposed to be my girl

How could she want to be Her bride but not mine?

I told her after this there's no going back this time

Told her it's not a game, she would break my heart

But she insisted that she should go, never should have been here from the start

If she wanted to marry Death she should have done that long ago

'Cause at this point there's no way I could let her go

And now she's yelling at me

How can I let this be

She knows I want her and need her to be right here

But she just wants to fall into Her arms and disappear

And now she's putting on the dress

She always looked so good in red

The gloves flattered the white

Now no one will see her after her wedding night

And now I miss you now that you've left me

You are far away and untouchable, we are starting to regret it

And I know it was your choice to make this leave

But I am the one who feels so damn guilty

Bride of Death you've got a title

White dress turned black, still the red gloves

God you looked so pretty on arrival

Good night and goodbye my sweet, my dear love
