Every year I want:

To be your kiss at midnight

To be your Valentines

To help you out when you’ve have a few too many

To see the coming of Spring by your side

To welcome Summer as well with you

To let you see me get a year older

To bring remembrance and celebration to the day we fell in love

To celebrate you as you become just another year older than the last

To greet Autumn alongside you

To pass out candy with you to little spooks on our doorstep

To give thanks for having you in my life, though it’s not your celebration

To allow Winter into our home

To leave you a gift under the tree

And then be your kiss at midnight all over again
