Moonlight’s Doing

I use to think loneliness didn’t mean a thing
It was called an expression when you had black wing
But now I see
Because this expression has happened to me
Like a bird I am caged up
I reach forward as my heart is giving up
I reach for the silver moon
Hoping someone will be here soon
I hold the bars as tears run down my cold cheeks
These warm drops fall as hard as birds’ beaks
I also feel blue another expression or aura so they say
I feel it as time pass day by day
Not only am I bottled up in this cage
So are my feelings, even rage
I don’t know how it happened but it was my mistake
I just wanted to take a break
And because I took a break from the world look what I did
I already said my farewells a bid
*one of my first poems that I ever wrote down when I was just a child*
