Characters: About
Final Card Diamonds Queen.jpg

Charlotte

Charlotte “Charles/Charlie” Porsche Dunkelheit

How shall I describe myself?
Spoiled? Beautiful? Talented? Narcissistic…?
I am the third and youngest child to Count Von Dunkelheit and Lottie de Lamberte. I have never sought or desired love once in my life and I intended on keeping things that way. Though the young suitors in my life do not seem to get that concept. My plan is to remain at Dunkelheit Manor as my Vater's secretary until the day I die.
My hobbies include: bass, songwriting, archery, jockey training/horse-riding, reading, learning, running off suitors, trying to keep my Vater under control, and not understanding how some people can be so…inept.
I am told my accent is quite unique, like a collaboration of English, German, and French.
I do not know how to fight for myself or my own well being, but I'd be damned if I did nothing during the endangerment of someone else's.

Characters: Welcome

The Count

Count Von Dunkelheit aka "Doll Eye" "D" "Count"

My Vater.
The master of perversion and Count of Darkness. I suspect him to be an immortal force that is not to be trifled with. He is sadistic and cruel and yet very charming and enthusiastic.
He poses as an eccentric German count living in England, though he performs atrocities within the confines of his home.
My Vater comes off as quite the dandy and can be seen as effeminate. Do not let that fool you, he is very powerful and frightening.
He generally has no true regards for the feelings of humans, and that is where matters are complicated with me. It feels as though he truly loves me, but I don't think I can ever truly trust him.
He has some occult powers, yet my genetics seemed to have been skipped on that front aside from my levelheadedness.

Mordecai

Mordecai Ulysses Blackwood

Too precious for words to describe. Truly, England does not deserve him.
Mordecai has been posing as a phantom known as The Mysterious Masked Musician, haunting a bridge as he plays his music at night. I suppose it's because he doesn't like to be seen in the day, given his appearance. He wouldn't be caught dead without his mask.
He is the purest, kindest, and most innocent person I have ever met. It would seem that he had a rough upbringing and past, starting with the fact that he was born deformed and rebuked by his own father.
Despite this, Mordecai is ambitious and ready to face the world's struggles. He may be innocent, but he certainly is not naive.
I believe his violin and musical composition skills will be able to touch the world one day.

Characters: Welcome

Lisette

Lisette Deirdre Violoncelle

My newest and dearest friend and the most recent addition to my Vater's collection.
A rebellious spirit with a fiery attitude. Lisette was recently brought to my estate to be the Count's maid and plaything, though she bares an uncanny resemblance to me, given her red hair, half French ancestry, and heterochromia.
I fear that Lisette is in love with me, and I swear it is not just because I know she is a Sapphist. We both seem to have an unending desire to protect each other, however.

The Dunkelheit's

Lottie Juliette Lamberte,

Heidi Narcisse Dunkelheit,

&

Jean-Paul Lynde Dunkelheit

My family was once a family of four, but my Mére and eldest sister met their end early in my youth.
I cannot say they were at all saints, by they surely did not deserve to live and die the way that they did.
My Mére, Lottie, was always known to be an entitled starlight and aristocrat, having the tendency to let her fame and fortune get to her head. She married the Count almost on a whim whilst visiting England. All my personal memories of her are rather pleasant, but I know that Heidi hated her. Lottie had developed a drinking problem shortly after her first child and sobered up a little by the time I came around. She lost her mind upon losing Heidi, however. Jean-Paul seems to feel betrayed by this.
I recall my eldest sibling, Heidi, never really liking me. She was known to be a brat from day one, but I feel as though there were outside influences. I heard she once fell in love with a normal man but my Vater wouldn't allow it, and that was what truly sent her over the edge. I can't imagine a woman would truly lose herself over love.
Jean-Paul is my brother and the middle child. He is a kind soul with a conservative appearance who wants nothing more than to live a normal life. He frequently checks on me to make sure that I am alright like a good elder sibling.

Characters: Welcome

Friends and Suitors

Theodore "Teddy" Eli Beaton, Constance Holloway,

Harris Knight, Garret Collins,

Jasper Farley, & Gertrude Collins

I've surprisingly been allowed contact with normal humans of the English public.
Theodore is actually my brother's best friend since youth, but now can't seem to stop asking for my hand in marriage. Jasper and Harris are almost as bad.
Constance and Gertrude have been my friends for most of my adult life and the two of them are very close to each other as well. I suspect Garret, Gertrude's brother, to have an interest in Constance...I fear that Gertrude does as well and that is something I suspect will not end well for her.

The Curd's

Myrtle Curd

&

Molly Fidelia Curd

I don't know too much about them, but Jean-Paul met Molly through his professor at his university since she is his younger daughter.
They seem like a fine and happy family, so I am glad that my brother was able to fall in with such good people.
Molly seems to be excited to be my in-law, and since she seems like such a sweet and earnest girl, I suppose the feelings are rather mutual.

Characters: Welcome

The Guests

Dukes Gideon and Newton Prosser, Sir Andrew Meyers, Baron Jedediah Threlfall, Lord Richard Gilmore, Constable Augustus Baldwin, Dr. Bartholomew Beaton, & more

Vile, perverse, lustful hunters. They are all Guests of the Count, enjoying the many atrocities that can be witnesses at Dunkelheit Manor. Most of them are of wealth, but there are a few who have social power.

Characters: Welcome

The Maids

Maria, Ida, Adelaide, Bernice, Lisette, Hope, Lydia, Freida, Jasmine, & more

Poor unfortunates that were brought to Dunkelheit Manor for my Vater's entertainment. It is a constant revolving door whenever one passes.
I suspect Hope and Bernice to be in love. They make a handsome pair.
They have been like guardians, companions, and friends to me my entire life, but all I can do is watch them suffer.

Odiare, Eagal, Unichtozheniye, Ainmhí, Dunkelheit, Kyōki, Epieíkeia, Aave, & Mchawi

I don't know who these people are, but they claim to be my Vater's family.
Are they all immortals too?
